About Aviation Indaba
Now in its second year, the Aviation Indaba began in 2024 as the General Aviation Indaba, a focused forum aimed at fostering collaboration and policy advocacy within the general aviation sector. Due to the overwhelming interest and the success of its inaugural edition, the Indaba has since evolved to encompass the broader aviation industry.
In 2025, we proudly launch the expanded Aviation Indaba – a strategic, high-level platform designed to drive cross-sectoral collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and impactful policy dialogue across the entire aviation ecosystem. Recognising aviation’s critical role in economic growth, regional integration, and global competitiveness, the Indaba brings together a diverse network of industry players for meaningful dialogue, knowledge exchange, and forward-looking action.
Bringing together key industry participants – including airlines, regulators, aircraft manufacturers, air traffic controllers, airport operators, ground-handling service providers, government departments, financiers, legal experts, academic institutions, training organisations, pilots and emerging technology innovators, the Aviation Indaba creates a unique space for engagement across commercial, cargo, general, and emerging segments such as drone and space-based aviation, sustainable aviation fuels, etc.
Serving as a neutral and solution-oriented platform, the Indaba facilitates candid conversations on shared challenges, regulatory developments, infrastructure needs, and future trends shaping the aviation landscape. It provides structured opportunities to explore policy alignment, investment opportunities, skills development, safety and security, sustainability imperatives, digitalisation, and innovation in air mobility.
The 2025 Aviation Indaba is a high-impact, cross-sectoral forum dedicated to shaping the future of aviation in Africa and beyond. Set against the backdrop of rapid technological change and growing demand for connectivity, this year’s Indaba brings together industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, and professionals to explore bold solutions and strategic collaborations for deep engagement on the critical issues shaping the future of aviation.
Join us as we chart a course for a resilient, innovative, and globally competitive aviation industry.
Leading industry experts will form part of the panel discussions, whilst a number of industry stakeholders will attend and participate from the gallery. The event will attract participants from both the GA and Commercial Aviation sectors. Thus, other disciplines and industries, such as transport and logistics, tourism, agriculture, energy, maritime, manufacturing, academia, research institutes, law enforcement, government, diplomatic corps, etc will be in attendance.
The 2025 Aviation Indaba will be an essential gathering for all those invested in the future of both the GA and Commercial Aviation industries. By continuing to provide a dedicated space for focused, collaborative discussions, we ensure that the sector remains vibrant, sustainable, and forward-thinking. As aviation technology advances and the regulatory environment evolves, the need for deliberate, multi-disciplinary platforms like the Indaba has become more critical.
We look forward to welcoming stakeholders from across the aviation ecosystem for an impactful, solutions-driven event.
